Pre-School – Age 30 months +
We have 2 pre-schools both with a maximum of 16 children.
Parents can choose the flexibility of what hours suits themselves and child best. We offer 3, 5, 6 or 10 hour sessions – full time, part or term time only.
Nursery funding is accepted for 15 and 30 hours. The 2 rooms are managed by 4 permanent qualified nursery practitioners, to provide high quality pre-school activities in preparation for primary education.
Activities are centred around the children’s interests with the focus being on encouraging the children to interact and develop their social and personal skills. These activities are taken to the level of the National Curriculum, based on The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The greatest change noted by parents are in the rapid development of knowledge and abilities as children learning through play. Days are built around varied activity allowing children to learn through discussion and exploration. Parents often notice that children leaving Bluebells Day Nursery are typically well equipped to take on the curriculum at primary school and more often than not are more advanced than what is actually required by the school.
We work closely with many schools such as, Mendell, Heygarth, Woodslee, Rayburn, Town lane, Pulton Lancelyn Primary School and more! When the children have a full and extensive transition period into school.
When it’s time for the children to visit their ‘BIG’ school, we also arrange for the teachers to visit the children in the nursery setting, this helps teachers to gain valuable information for each individual child. School readiness is a big part of our Pre- School.
